The Miracle League of Manasota is an affiliate of the National Miracle League Association, joining more than 200 communities around the world that are providing opportunities for disabled children to play baseball. Since its founding in 1998, 100 specially surfaced fields have been built and 100 more are under construction. Miracle Leagues serve more than 80,000 youngsters with special needs. When GravityFree was approached by Miracle League president Bob H. Mitchell, owner of Mitchell & Company, Inc, our immediate response was that not only would we like to help, but we'd like to ensure they have the best Miracle League website in the country.
GravityFree went to work architecting a website that would tell the wonderful story of the organization, that would help get people involved and facilitate communication among it's members. The website utilizes video, photography and e-commerce to help bring their story to life.
About The Miracle League
The Miracle League of Manasota is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for all children to play baseball, regardless of their ability. For the 14,000 school-aged children with disabilities in Sarasota and Manatee counties, the Miracle League of Manasota will build a synthetically surfaced baseball field and all the requisite amenities at a site that would serve children from both Counties. For the first time, children challenged by any form of disability will be empowered to enjoy the joys and thrills of baseball regardless of their ability to play. The opening game of the Miracle League of Manasota is planned for fall, 2009.
