About the Client
The Chamber’s last site was created by GravityFree. It won Web site of the Year by the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals (FACP) in 2005 and helped bring about a large increase in membership, event registration, and member participation and involvement.
That same year, it was recorded that monthly member referrals jumped 1,200%, Web traffic doubled to over 12,000 unique visitors per month and revenue from site advertising sales increased by 150%. The recent redesign is architected to keep up with the growth of the Chamber and to further its value to members and the Sarasota community.
New Functionality, Better Usability
The new site design incorporates The Chamber’s new brand, which rolled out last year. It is easy-to-use, well-organized, provides benefits to members and gets results, while empowering The Chamber with the ability to manage it. A re-organization of content was a main focus. Additional features and services make it more user-friendly, providing information for members as well as residents, media visitors and prospective relocating residents and businesses.
Vastly Improved Member Services
The impetus behind The Chamber’s Web site redevelopment was to better meet the needs of Chamber members by providing a comprehensive conduit to member services and events and to be a supportive tool for building bridges between private sector and local government, residents and other stakeholders.
A Wealth of Extra Resources
The site provides links to additional resources and enhanced marketing and advertising opportunities. A search mechanism within the site helps visitors find the information they’re looking for. Also, new to the site is an online “store” to purchase Chamber items such as maps.
